Churchyard

This environment was created for my Demo Reel project at VanArts. I created this environment from concept to completion.

I wanted this work to have a hand-painted feel to it... so instead of using digitally created textures, I used my fine arts skills to create all of the textures as hand-painted pastels on newsprint. I only had one day with the photographer very early into the start of this project - so I had to have all of my textures planned and completed well in advance of when they would be needed. It was a fun organizational challenge - and I am proud to say that I did have all of the textures I needed from that one photoshoot.

The architecture was also designed to be modular - so that multiple buildings could be constructed from the pieces used to create the main structures. I have included in this project album a few examples of different buildings that can be created from this set.
